The official competitions in Catalunya started with the creation of the Federacion Catalana de Hockey sobre Patines, in 1930.
In that year the Regional Champion was Skating Club de Catalunya, followed by Skating Hockey Club.
In 1931 the 1st category competition had 4 teams, and the final table was:
1 Skating Club de Catalunya 11 5 1 0 25 13 12
2 Maricel SC 6 3 0 3 22 26 -4
3 Union Universitaria 4 2 0 4 29 26 3
4 Skating SC 3 1 1 4 16 31 -15
The team of SC Catalunya was the strongest team in Spain till the spanish civil war. After that, the teams normaly competing disapeared, and other clubes entered the competition, mainly from Barcelona, Girona and Reus.
