Rink-Hockey in Olympic Games: 20 years ago

20 years ago, Rink-Hockey has been a demonstration sport in Olympic Games, Barcelona'92.

Argentina won the Gold medal, after beating Spain in the Final by 8-6.

Rink-Hockey and Skating are still waiting for their recognition as an Olympic sport. The world wide diffusion of skating disciplines (more than 120 affiliated national federations) deserves it. An olympic games program, at least with artistic skating, speed, and the two varieties of hockey (rink and inline) would correspond to the actual relevance of the sport, even more important than some of the present minor Olympic sports. FIRS and the other governing bodies of the sport should continue fighting for this objective.
